A Day in the Life

Stories of two growing children mixed with ramblings from the ether of my mind.

I am taking over the blog for today and trying something new.  Since I normally do the pictures, while Shawn does the blog I feel that there is a disconnect of sorts.  Sometimes you miss the story that goes with the pictures (though I do try and put captions on some of them) and you have no quick way of knowing if new ones are added.  So I am going to try a post with pictures in it.  If it works I will do a post on blog with pictures when new ones have been added.  Since all of my favorite blogs that I read have pictures, it only seems right to have some on here.  So maybe you will find that you like them too.  :-)

As it is now summer, the kids got to enjoy the sprinkler sit in spin in the front yard last week.

And then today it was the pool...

And it is safe to say that the kids love water!  Well, at least as long as you aren't trying to actually clean them with it.

So that seems pretty logical.  Summer + water = fun.  However, apparently we aren't always that logical at our house.  The other night the kids ended up playing outside after getting pj's for bed.  Hmm...  Not the normal or logical order of events, but they seemed to enjoy it!

(Notice the mower beside the little man with the sidewalk chalk.  If he sees it, he must mow!)

Hope you enjoyed the new format!

Kids are doing well... Jordans party was great.  Everyone had a lot of fun.  Been working pretty hard for the past couple of weeks and have decided to sell my mustang.  I can't find time to write to this blog much less repair a classic car that is going to take a decent amount of time to go along with cash.  I figured it would be a good time to sell it.  I have it on craigslist and have gotten lots of responses and offers, though for some reason people can't seem to come up with the money after telling me they are coming to pick it up.  Also I have had a bunch of people tell me that they are coming to see it only to not show up and not respond to email... nothing.  I hate people :), is it so hard to email and say "hey, things came up and I won't be able to come as planned. Sorry to put your day on hold good luck"  Instead I have people begging me to hold the car for 48 hours so they can get over to see it and then I never hear from them again.

anywho... I am going to try to find some more time to update... the pictures are updated quite frequently even if I haven't posted, so keep checking back

Have a good weekend everyone!

My little girl is growing up fast... She is 4 years old today.  We are having her official party this Saturday but we let her open a few gifts today.  It is fun to watch her since she really gets into the whole thing now.  This Saturday should be fun!

Rough Week

This has been a rough week.  Good news is Justice is better and so is Jordan.  We took the kids to pullen park and let them ride the merry go round and choo choo train.  They seemed to have a lot of fun, though Justice freaked a little on the merry go round.  It was an enjoyable day, especially after the week we had.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I was not able to take the job with eTeleNext.   It is unfortunate because I thought it would have been a great opportunity.  Bryan has given me an opportunity to work with him as much as I want.... and he has signed a number of new contracts so all should be well.  Like I said, he really is a great guy.

Melissa had a good birthday ( I hope), the kids and I got her, her first ipod.... a purple nano.  She seems to enjoy it.  I am going to try to post more as things get back to normal.

BTW... Jordan is excited about her princess party next Saturday.... surprise surprise. Wink
