A Day in the Life

Stories of two growing children mixed with ramblings from the ether of my mind.

Day 8: Magic Kingdom

Day 8 was hard for us in that it was our last.  It was not helped by the fact that it was rainy until about lunch time.  Which incedentally meant that until then the camera stayed in my bag under my poncho.  Sigh.  Like I didn't take enough pictures during the whole trip right?  Yeah, it has only taken how long to go through what I did take?

While we were waiting on the fastpass time for her to ride a roller coaster, we found a little kid play area.

Then it was off for her and daddy, while he and I looked around in a shop nearby.  Then he let me get a few pictures before they returned.  He was a total ham despite refusing to look at the camera.

I wanted to get one of her on a "big girl" roller coaster, but I couldn't get close enough for one.  But she loved it judging from the fact that she requested riding it again today (it was her second time).  Shortly after we visited a couple of shops as we headed out of the park.  Then it was back to the resort to get our luggage out of storage (love that they do this!) and then off to the train station.  We ate Subway at the station and then it was on the train and on our way back home.  Sigh.  Hard to end a well needed family vacation, but there will be more in the future!

Here they are on the train finishing their dinner.

Day 7: Epcot

And it was back to Epcot we went after breakfast with characters.  Yes, we dined every morning except our last with characters.  Between the characters and the unlimited supply of food the kids loved it.  We heard more than once what great eaters we have.  To me that is the point of breakfast isn't it - to eat?  I think they were impressed that they were eating things like fruit like it was going out of style.  But really our kids could live on fruit alone.  And Disney had great fruit.  Really.  I want some of their strawberries now.  Sigh.

So our last character breakfast was with Mickeys friends.

And both of them really got into coloring while we were there.

I should say that she's really into coloring right now.  So of course anything she does...

Because that is how these two are with everything.

The weather was absolutely beautiful in Epcot.

Can you tell he was excited to get his picture with Mickey?

And where she comes up with some of these poses I don't know.  But they are all her.

And speaking of our little independent girl, she decided to help push the stroller.  Granted no one was actually in it at the time, but she did help.  And was going on about how hard it was and that she wanted to give us a break.  Very sweet.

He just enjoyed being independent.

With their Chinese masks that they each made.

And visiting with Mulan.

It was a great relaxing day for everyone.  And we even shared our snack with a duck.

In the evening we went to a luau.

Complete with a variety of traditional dances including a fire dancer.  Too cool!
