A Day in the Life

Stories of two growing children mixed with ramblings from the ether of my mind.

Save the Date

Since I am horrible with dates, here an official heads up for family.  Mark your calendars for June 11 as the graduation date for your eldest grandchild to graduate from preschool.  Yes, I know it seems a tad silly as she is only graduation to Kindergarden, but to her it is a big deal.  And that is the day of their ceremony.  Complete with a cap and gown.  If you are interested in attending please let me know and I can let you know details of the time, etc.  And go ahead and mark June 12 as the day we will celebrate her birthday with a party - aka the day she has been talking about since she turned 4, lol.  I tell you parties mean a lot to this little girl.

(Here's one more picture of the soon to be graduate.  :-) )

Egg Hunt Time

Last weekend we took the kids to a local egg hunt.  It was a little cool, but otherwise a beautiful day for it.

The anticipation of the hunt was part of the fun.

This year the two were in separate age categories.  So she had to wait patiently while he hunted and then he had to wait for her.  It actually went very well (and helped that he got to go first).  And she was very excited to see what he got.

Can you tell?

It is so nice when they can share in the other's happiness.  Unfortunately it works in reverse too.  But for this hunt it was all good sharing.

Here she is patiently waiting to go hunting with Daddy.

He took the time while she waited to show me his "goodies."  And since he had only one plastic egg and the rest was egg shaped candy wrapped in plastic he also got to work on his colors.  They still need work, but he was consistent with orange.  His uncle would be proud.

Returning from her hunt.  You have to love her style.  :-)
