Well, it is that time of year again.  Some love it.  Some hate it.  But either way it is back to school time.  And around here it is mostly loved.

She loved picking out a new backpack and lunch box (and new ones were most definitely needed).

And she loved picking out an outfit to wear for her first day.  Complete with a necklace.

And for the most part she was happy to let me take lots of pictures.

But since it was the first day and all she wasn't getting out of it even if she didn't.  :)

This mommy is having a hard time accepting that I have a first grader.

Which just tickles her.  She does not understand.  At all.

And I'm sure I'll feel the same way next year.  I suspect that parents aren't ever really ready for their kids to grow up, but we know that they do.  But you have those moments where it just sort of hits you how much they've grown.  Sigh.  The first day of school is one of those times.
