Our daughter just loves to wear dresses. They are quite the fashion staple in her mind.

She started deciding that is what she wanted to wear all the time just before she turned 3. That first year I mistakenly thought when it got cooler that would change. Yeah, that did not happen. Leggings are her best friend in the colder months.

Other mom's told me she'd outgrow the phase pretty quickly.

I kept hearing that once she started school she wouldn't be into dresses anymore.

Well, all I can say is that isn't true for our little girl. She loves dresses and skirts. And the more they twirl the better. And I don't see that changing anytime soon. (Though she will on occassion wear shorts, capris, or pants.)

And she also loves to accessorize. Notice the anklets? :)

She decided that she wanted anklets that day instead of bracelets. It is also the perfect solution for her bracelets that just slide right off. Yes, my daughter is into all things "girly." But the funny part is she doesn't let that affect her play. Not at all. She is out there running around with the kids getting as dirty (if not more so) all while sporting a dress. :)
