Last weekend we took the kids to pick out a pumpkin. We went to a place that we'd been to in previous years, but this year it was a little different. Instead of just having pumpkins they have expanded and also have activities. However, with that came a cost we weren't willing to pay, especially that day as it was more of hot and muggy day than a nice pleasant fall day. So there were some tears when our eldest discovered that she was indeed not going in the bouncy house. The funny thing is she might not have gone in the bouncy house anyway. It would have depended on where the generator was located as to if she was really interested. We've been through that a few times. But much to her dismay we did not pay to enter and find out. Instead we went and picked out two pumpkins which was our original intent.

Yes, I know she is in long sleeves, but I assure you it wasn't really long sleeve weather. And that made it that much less desirable to be out in the heat.

I think the sign was more than a foot off the ground. :)

But it does help with the perspective on how much taller he is.

(And don't get me started on getting this boy to wear shorts again. Apparently he is into wearing pants now and did not want to switch back when the weather became summer like again. Guess he is more like his sister than I thought. Sigh.)

And as if to prove my point on the generator with the bouncy thing, this was as close as she was willing to get to a large inflatable pumpkin. And she wasn't really sure about it. My funny girl. She hates loud noises, but yet somehow doesn't seem to mind making them. Hmmm... :)
