This year both of the kids got to visit with Santa at the mall.  The visit went well, but let's just say that we learned our lesson on not going to visit Santa in early December.  Sigh.  Yes, this is a lesson I should know.  But it slipped my mind and the month got away from me and the next thing you know it was late December and they hadn't been to see Santa.  So when the line seemed fairly short on Friday I thought we were golden.  Humph.  Apparently only in Disney World is that considered a short line.  Seriously I have no idea what they were doing that made it take so long, but they really need to get some tips from Disney on how to run a smooth operation.  Seriously at Disney the line would have been 10 min max.  But this was not Disney so it was more like an hour and a half. For the most part the kids were good in the line.

This guy did have one melt down.  But in his defense it had become dinner time, so considering he wasn't too bad.

Proof that they can be sweet to one another!

But what you don't see here is that this "hug" quickly becomes a tackle.  As it does every. single. time.  Sigh.  Maybe one day they'll be able to hug without a full out wrestling match following it.

But eventually they did get to see Santa.  And they were thrilled!  Her so even more than him, though he was excited, but quiet.  Apparently they had decided that she was going to do all the talking.  She gave Santa her list and then his.  Santa tried to get him to talk, but he just acted coy and smiled.  He uttered not one single word.  But upon leaving Santa was practically shouting that he saw Santa and got a reindeer hat.

He doesn't look thrilled in these, but really he was.  But I'm guessing when he was smiling it was away from the camera.  Or after Daddy quit taking pictures.  Either would be typical for our kids.  :)

And I almost forgot the attitude shot that Daddy caught of her just before they were up to see Santa and she spotted him with the camera.

Yes, it is rather hard to catch a candid picture of this little girl.  :)
