We got our snow day.  It snowed about 5 inches and stayed around for a couple of days.  Of course, in true North Carolina fashion, the schools freaked and kids were out for 2 days.  The first day I can understand, but the roads were completely fine the second day.  The roads had melted by the end of the first day, snow remained only in the grassy areas.  It is funny, you think back to when you were younger and don't remember getting the extra days break.  It is funny, because if you live in one of the northern states, it takes a natural disaster to disrupt things.  Of course they have the proper road equipment to deal with it, but it puts us in a unique position.   As adults, we don't get to look forward to spring break, or summer vacation but the one thing from childhood we do get, is the occasional snow day that cancels work.  It usually has to be a pretty big event to cancel work, but at least it is something.

Jordan had a great time in the snow.  The last time it snowed, she was only a year and a half old and didn't really care too much for it.  This time, she wanted to live outside and tried to build multiple snowmen.  Justice didn't care for it too much.  He kind of stood in one place and gave us the stink eye.  He was bundled up so much he couldn't move his arms much, so I kind of understand.

For me, it was a double edge sword.  I had an interview that was subsequently cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow.  That is fine, it is better than not getting any snow and missing on Jordans excitement.

Thomas Corriher is in the hospital this week for dehydration due to a bug or bacteria. It is a bug that is going around right now, so keep an eye on your little one.

Get well soon little guy!
