We took the children to the State fair again this year. The kids enjoy it and we can handle it in small doses. :)
She enjoyed riding a horse and was quite proud she was "big" enough to ride one of the "big" horses. But that didn't mean she wanted to ride without me there.

And of course the kids got to ride some of the rides.

And while these two rode the macaroni cups, little man and I did the big slide. I've honestly never seen him so excited about a ride. But he was a tiny bit too short to ride on his own, so we went down together, though he almost went down without me or the burlap sack since he was so eager.

And naturally the rode the swings (again he was just a tad too short to ride on his own).

She was paired with another girl about her age.

He was a little timid getting on the swings, but was quite happy about them after.

She's a jellyfish!

She loved this ride - pretty cool since you lay down to ride.

And they both rode the monster trucks. Unfortunately, they had the sound turned way up this year and he was NOT impressed. But later said it was his favorite - go figure.

And of course there was food. You can't go without eating right? :) I wanted the fried oreos (seriously they will fry anything). Can you guess what they requested?
(here is a hint)

Yes, it was corn on the cobb. No big surprise there.

And our princess got her face painted.

So in short they had a fun filled day with way to much junk food - and they loved it!
