Thanksgiving came and went and I took not a single picture.  Not one.  A bit odd for me.  But we enjoyed the holiday as a family and that is what counts.

In the days before Thanksgiving our little girl was part of a school program.  I was corrected if I called it anything besides a Thanksgiving program, lol.  She sang her heart out.  And I took video on my Nikon camera.  Nothing like trying to hold that sucker up over my head for the program to convince me we need a new video recorder.  Something I've known, but since I normally operate the photo aspect I didn't know, know - if you know what I mean.  ;)  (And I was not the only parent coming to that realization.)

After her program the parents were invited back to the classrooms for a little party.  Here she is deep in conversation with those at her table while waiting for their turn to fix their plates.  They might have gotten to go sooner, but they weren't exactly paying the best attention.  :)

Here she is with her snack.  Looking at the picture it almost looks like scrambled eggs and a chocolate donut.  Or maybe that is just me.  But either way it really is popcorn and a donut.  Naturally she went for the chocolate version.  And they were smart and didn't allow for seconds (or thirds).  I think they knew what they were in for that afternoon if they did.  :)

The next day little man had a Thanksgiving lunch at his school.  Again I took not a single picture.  :)  But without question the kids enjoyed their feast.  Most surprising to me was that he actually ate a piece of the pumpkin pie we brought.  He'd been talking about pumpkin pie when I mentioned I was making some for his class event, but when it comes to desserts, he tends to talk about them, but not actually eat them.  I believe last year he simply ate the cool whip off the top.  This year though, he ate the whole piece.  And then was sad when the whole pie was eaten - meaning no leftovers for later.  At that point he sounded more like his sister.  :)
